Head in the clouds

What goes up must come down 

Imagination loud

Flashbacks, won’t forget

Mirror image, self reflect

Can’t wash away the pain

Beige foundation down the drain

Streams of mascara rain

Masks eventually melt

Facades only last so long

Burn the scars

Emotions six feet under

Buried beneath chaotic thunder

Barricaded from Earth disruption

Withered roses on a grave 

Perished from a dream chase

Glitter fades

Feelings remain

Stardust veins

What if I gain the strength 

Not to be afraid

To follow the light

Withered roses come to life

Fire in my soul ignites

Aftermath shines bright

The moon glows at night
