Seeking what feels missing in life is a part of self discovery. As we attempt to fill this void, we are to be reminded only He can make us whole.
Pieces don’t have to fit perfectly like a puzzle;
but instead, like a stained glass mosaic;
Colorful and broken.
"If you look for me wholeheartedly,
you will find me."
Jeremiah 29:13
Written thoughts, I surrender
Since I can remember
Something’s been missing within me
A puzzle part of my inner being
Desire to feel whole
Fill the void within my soul
Stars amongst the dark still glow
Wishing to feel complete
Continuous seeking
Consistent game of trial and error
Keep playing, but it doesn’t feel fair
Looking for the answer, drowning in darkness
Numbed by selfishness and substances
Desperate to fill a space of emptiness
Staring back at my reflection
Lack of self love and compassion
My heart says the missing piece of me
Has been You, always
He never intended for us to do life alone
The truth is, I don’t have self control
Down the toilet, baggies opened & thrown
Deleted dealers from my phone
Can I please come home?

"I say to myself, 'The Lord's my portion; therefore I will wait for him.'"
Lamentations 3:24
Stained glass mosaic
Of colorful broken pieces
Framed arrangement of misfits
Striking when the light hits
Vibrant and reflective
Your mess is gorgeous
